Probably not.
The blackened may just be discoloration from stuff leaked out of the cap,
which collects dirt.
I've heard it said that said stuff can eat away traces.
So clean it up with cotton swap and isopropyl alcohol and check for eaten
away traces.
If traces are broken they can be fixed.
Myself, I've never seen eaten traces on an SE/30.
