As a Classic owner I find that it is quite hard to hold down all the keys and switch the fool thing on at the same time. So I get my brother to turn it on while I hold down the keys. Just keep holding them until something happens. And to eject a floppy automatically on any Mac with a standard floppy drive, you must press down the mouse button as you turn on the power (and don't let go until your disk is free).
