To really get fancy, you'll want MacPalette II which is a print
driver (extension) for the IWII. It was published by Microspot.
It was available in both a serial and an AppleTalk version. It
causes the IWII to dither and in theory can render millions of colors
using the four color ribbon. In practice the output isn't great for
things like jpegs (compared to a modern inkjet), but it's darned
impressive output from a dot matrix. Also, when using MacPalette
II text doesn't print as well for some reason, at least in my recent
experience.

MacPalette II also comes with a backgrounder application for the IWII
which allows you to do other things with your Mac while it is
printing to the IWII--something you can't do with Apple's drivers.

P.S. I occasionally see the LocalTalk Option for the IWII. If you
want an AppleTalk capable IWII, a little looking will surely turn one
up.
