I'm using an image writer on my powermac 7100/66 setup. For some
reason, I cannot print to a Stylewriter II. It gives me a "Not enough
Memory" error, or "Please select StylewriterII," both of the errors
are stupid and unreasonable. Yet when I hook the Imagewriter II, it
works perfectly. Get some WD-40 and make sure the bar is very clean,
especially right at contact point of the head. I'm at the point that
if an Imagewriter doesn't work properly, and junk it and grab another
one. The dip switches should be set properly, since all Imagewriters
were setup and used for Apples. I have never seen an Imagewriter that
had improperly set DIP switches. DIP, actually stands for the exact
thing that DIP stick stands for. Basically, it means, only a DIP
stick would mess with the DIP switches and deserve the dippy printing
and problems they get if they mess with them. :) Just kidding.
