I'm surprised they don't pull your teeth out of your head before letting you board. And if you accidently forget to leave a favorite (and realistically harmless) implement at home or in your checked bag, too bad. They could at least offer to sell you a padded mailer with postage so you could mail such items to yourself. >I actually dislike eBay, because everything there (particularly PC stuff) is >overpriced. It's been a long time since I've seen any good deals at a live auction. Actually, I stopped going a few years ago. Sellers have taken to including terms which basically say, "If we don't like the winning bid, we don't have to sell" which changes the nature of the sale from an auction to a solicitation for offers in reality. So a true auction is rather rare these days. The above happened at the CRA Systems (AKA Radius Vintage) auction several years ago and apparently also happened at the recent Shreve auction, though I was not present at the latter. I was at the Power Computing auction. There were a few good deals there, but the actual computers went for more than the current retail prices, still available from on-line sellers at the time of the auction. The deals were in things like cubicle furniture, VRAM modules and 1 MB L2 caches (for 604 based machines). Jeff Walther -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
