Man, that WAS a great day! I LOVE days like that... Although most thrift stores (even used computer shops!) treat anything APPLE like it was a thermonuclear device(!), what is most common for me are the places that do not have the AC adapter for the machine they have (and not knowing where to look for it), and that prompts them to sell the machine "as-is." I think I might have been burned w/ a actual non-working Mac maybe once in 20 times, and it even was valuable for the parts (a mother[board]less Mac TV). I also like to happen along a computer scrapper who knows ALL PC and no Macs, who sells off SCSI drives because they are less than 50GB, and, well.... SCSI. But thrift stores R great places to legally "steal!" Once at a thrift in Athens GA, they had two computers, one a PC the other a Mac. They were trying to fetch $100 for a P1 PC, just the CPU, and $50 for the Mac. ...the Mac was a COLOR CLASSIC! (Guess which one I opted for??) ;-) Craig W. -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
