Yo compacters everywhere,

Of all of the compacts that have crossed my path, two have been 128k Macs. One came
wholly intact, lookin' clean, and smellin' better. It is a perfect original 128k
complete in its Apple branded canvas Mac Sack. The second 128k was all there in a case
that was horrible. Its case was badly "yellowed" in patches from a number of stickers
afixed to it. On its case was a shipyard property inventory metal plate fixed with
epoxy. The serial number from above the brightness control was gone. A security ring
had been wrenched from its slot. Through another door walked a defunct 512k upgraded
from a 128k. The case of this upgrade was another perfect case. It now houses the
innards of that shipyard 128k lookin' good and smellin' better. The 400k floppy drives
from these two 128ks and from a small number of 512ks have all been dysfunctional to
one degree or another. A thorough cleaning restored enough of these drives that the
128ks and two 512ks at hand have working drives leaving me !
with one precious spare. And through another door walks a new-in-the-box external
floppy drive with a 400k drive in it. Keep pokin' around and you will eventually find
all the pieces to build a perfectly good 128k Mac.

Bill
