Like Antonio, I usually find that shaking >the case (over a cushioned surface) is sufficient to separate the two >halves. ------------ Probably the simplest way to open the case is to first loosen all 4 screws. Then, using the long Torx driver, press down on one of the screws under the handle while holding the machine an inch or two over a padded surface. Simple and no marks.
