I think it was on this list (I have also been talking compact Macs on the G-book list) someone was hailing the Plus over the SE/30 due to it being fan-less.
I just had a thought, wouldn't it be excellent if one could use one of these new pocket memory sticks instead of a hard drive!!!
Alright! So, where do we find the SCSI-to-USB adapter?
Or you could make life easier by buying a SCSI to PCMCIA adapter and plugging in a Compact Flash card via a Type II PCMCIA adapter (cheap; it's just a pin adapter). I've been looking at this solution for ages but SCSI-PCMCIA adapters are hard to find cheaply. Some camera stores still list one from Microtech but it costs about 200 $US. A further enhancement would be to power the SCSI-PCMCIA adapter from the serial port which would give you something that was portable, small and didn't use a wall power adapter.
