I was referring to the right angle adapter card that is typically used with
ethernet cards on the IIsi. It has several chips on it including an fpu.

Are you, perhaps, referring to the NuBus adapter for the IIsi? It has a heavy metal bracket shrouding it and two or three (I think three) large square chips on board in addition to the FPU. It basically adds back the part of the circuit board that was sawn off when they converted the IIci into a IIsi.
