There was another adapter that has a pds pass through, that I have several
of, from machine part outs. I also have the daystar adapter for the IIX that
plugs into the cpu socket. My SE/30 has a removable cpu. Is this adapter too
electrically different to use on the SE/30?

Are you, perhaps, referring to the NuBus adapter for the IIsi?   It 
has a heavy metal bracket shrouding it and two or three (I think 
three) large square chips on board in addition to the FPU.   It 
basically adds back the part of the circuit board that was sawn off 
when they converted the IIci into a IIsi.
