And this looks like an archive, but I have no idea what version, etc etc.

This is more promising, thanks.
I also read some discussion that the Mac version of PSPICE supports analysis but not schematic capture, but wasn't willing to put any time into careful reading. I have no urgent need for this, it's more just a thing that would be nice to have some day. Hence, my desire for the person who is immediately interested to report back.
