I may have it. I own a sundry group of odd, old disks. If you email me
offlist, and I have it, I'll attach it to you.

I have come into this thread pretty late, and I don't know if the Subject
Line has been beaten to death or not.

BUT, I have used external hard disks to store floppies onto with a good rate
of success. Disks like Microsoft's Office-related Disks come as
copy-using-protected making them impossible to archive without Res-editing
into the sub-molecular level.

I had Athana International as a good source of 800k floppies. which make
great 400k floppies. And I check all disks with a vintage disk checker like
SUM II or Symantec Disk Tools in System 6 to see if the originals contain
damage.

If they check perfect, then I make a copy of the copyable ones FIRST before
using them to work from. Then I make a second copy. The originals go into a
dark, cool closet high on a shelf until the copies go bad. Then, they make
more copies.
