I have this 9 gig scsi in my G3 as a slave. I am going to replace the other drive which is a 4.3 ide with a 40 gig ide so that I will have the full height left over. I cannot measure it right now because it is in use for this e-mail. I just put it in about three months ago. It takes quite some time to spin up after it spins down, so it could be an old IBM one. I will try and see if it fits if it doesn't I will go back to the two 80 meg scsi hard drives that I have now in it and on it. Some say the max partition is 8 gig some say 2 and some say 4. Is there anyone who has the definitive answer?

Like Edmund Hillary said about Mount Everest its because its there.
