I assume when you say full height that you mean half-height. Full Height is approximately 3 inches tall and is the type of drive found in old IBMs.
Well it could be a Seagate Elite, ST410800 drive. Those are 5.25" full height drives. They were widely available from resellers about four years ago at very low prices (~$25). It varied from seller to seller whether they made the customer aware of just how huge the thing is. The drive came out some time around '95. It's slow. When it's accessing it sounds like a small washing machine. But when it was released storage averaged about $1/MB, and this drive was only $4000 - $5000 so about half the going rate for storage. A great bargain in its day.
Anyway, that's probably not the drive model that Carmen has, but there were some sort-of recent full height drives made. Full height is 3.3" tall by the way, or two CDROM drives stacked on top of each other.
Their is no way you could fit a full height drive inside and SE/30 case.
Well, if you removed the CRT and the power supply....
