Overseas shipping is very expensive. It is the problem we have to face all that live in areas were Macintoshes are infrequent (as they are in Spain...). For example, the s&h fees for eBay items the size of a computer card from the USA to Spain allways go arround $8 to $15. I have seen several vintage computers (Apple IIgs mainly) go out of eBay with a start price of $1 or $0.01 (!) and without a bid because the overseas s&h costs were over $100 - it really must be that because a package with a CPU, a monitor and a couple disk drives is really big.
I think we all europeans must join efforts and create a list of European vintage Mac providers, or even a swap forum/list/something to ease the interchange between European people to reduce the s&h spends. An static provider listing updated weekly or monthly would do the trick, if we don't want to spend much resources on this...
