You can connect a SCSI CD-ROM to your Plus. My only advice would be to obtain an Apple drive (either an external unit, or an internal unit which you put in a SCSI enclosure) since this will allow you to use Apple drivers. Non-Apple drivers are probably more common, so if you want to go that route here are a few recollections: CD-Sunrise provides HFS CD support on many third party drives, and is free; there are documented patches for Apple's drivers (but these may be System 7.x specific); and there are various commercial third party drivers (FWB CD-ROM Toolkit, Spot CD), but some of these may also be System 7 specific -- but should support non-HFS formats.
