Yes, you are. The Plus uses a keyboard cable looking for all the world like a telephone handset cord. But NOT. It's wires are not flipped at the opposite ends as are handset cables. The mouse is the type used since the Apple II. A nine-pin device. Easily found. I have both as spares if you fail to find them on eBay or a local thrift store.
