I just repaired a 400k drive today. It took a light lubing and a gentle
moving
of the stuck parts until they broke free and did what they used to do.

A small lever on its right side was a crucial part to be attended to before
all
would break free.

Luckily the mechanism wasn't tweaked by forcing, nor was the head damaged
by attempts to jam in a floppy. Two things that guarantee a dead drive. All
is still hooked up and I'm playing tonight with my Mac 128 upgraded to a
512k.
