Actually, I'm very impressed with the Asante ethernet card - my primary concern had been what sort of case hack I'd need to do so that I would have both an ethernet socket /and/ video port on the back of my SE/30. However it looks (although I've not gone into it in any detail yet) as if the ethernet daughter card has a port which can actually be detached and/or used as a video port (an AUI port if that means anything to anyone!).
Soon it'll be networked with my brand new iBook at any rate. That is if it ever ships out of Luxembourg where it's apparently been sat for the last 6 days.... :(
