Okay, today I bought a nice Torx screwdriver and opened it. And I must say, there was a really huge amount of dust inside. So, I disconnected the logic board, took off the ROM and RAM modules... but I did not want to take the risk of throwing everything in the water yet. So I blew away most of the dust and reassembled everything. But you are indeed right: the capacitors have leaked, that can be seen very well. In each case, the machine still works, so I am happy I didn't break something the first time opening the machine :-) Daan. -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
