Yes, I did that, and it's all set up and working now. Note that I also had to put the enabler onto the system tools disk to format the drive before the install and also put it on the first "install" disk so it would be able to boot the machine to start the install. None of the other install disks or update disks needed it.

Noted and expected, the ones mentioned have a 7.1 system folder as such they will not work without the enabler. The install disk is yet another boot disk containing a install script, the other disks are only storage so dont boot, so dont require the enabler.
My quote above refers mainly to the type of install you chose, half expecting you to see the same error message when you tried a first boot from the fresh install.


Now I'll start trying to deal with the noise. I see that it is covered in the Colo(u)r Classic FAQ, so I won't ask about it here, at least not now.
