Unfortunately I don't have the original floppy to boot from...but I used MacEnvy to see under what number my internal HD was and it is 0. So what should be my next step?

Does your SE have an internal hard drive?  If so, you probably have
a SCSI ID conflict when it is set to zero.  Try booting the system
from a floppy disk with the hard drive connected.  Do you still
have a dead Mac sign?
