Stick to 7.1 with a standard CC l/b. 8.1 is fine with a 575 l/b.
If you must have 7.5.x's facilities with a standard CC, strip it down with help on Gamba's site, but it will still be slower than 7.1, The CC is cute but dog-slow in standard form.
