Hi Folks,
I have been looking around to see if its going to possible to get a Mac Plus working with System 6.0.8 and AppleShare so I can boot from floppy and load all my applications from a shared folder off my PowerMac G3 over AppleTalk. This should give me a silent, useful Mac Plus! I intend to do it wirelessly too!
In addition to being fun, I want to see if I can actually do something with a �4.00 (UKP) computer thats comparable to what I do on my �2k (UKP) laptop :)
Here are my "ingredients":
Apple Macintosh Plus, 4Mb, 800K Floppy Asante Localtalk to Ethernet Converter Buffalo Wireless Ethernet Converter
Make sure both this device and your Access Point (Router?) handle AppleTalk. If they don't your setup isn't going to work. A lot of 802.11 equipment doesn't.
