Corrections and comments are welcome. The page is still very much under construction.

One thing I have not had access to is a complete set of May 1984 "B" disks/packaging--I only have the System Disk, the Macintosh Guided Tour disk and tape, a dead MacPaint disk, the owner's guide with the System Enhancements insert, and my twenty-year old memories of unpacking them. I think I remember wondering why Paint got its own disk while MacWrite did not. I also remember how difficult it was to get the disks out of the MacWrite/MacPaint box. So from that I draw the conclusions I do. No doubt one of these sets will show up on eBay eventually, since it was the longest-lived of the bundles, and I will be able to confirm my recollections, or not! Perhaps someone on this list has a set, and can spare me the trouble?! Mainly I need to confirm that there are two separate tapes and the Write/Paint disk is 690-5009B.

I will add a section on the basic evolution of the Mac Plus, but I'm still compiling evidence. I may also try to write something about upgrades, but that is a tough one, since there are so many permutations.

Enjoy,

Eric
