Well, I've got a problem. I've been trying to connect my SE/30 to my
iBook G4 for a while now using a direct ethernet connection, but with no
success. Any input is welcome!

If you have an Asante network card in the SE/30, it could be
that Asante cards of that era have a problem with "auto-sensing"
devices. I have luck by sticking a plain 10BaseT hub between these
cards and the rest of the network.

The same solution worked for me.
