I did ask about software, and they said everything had already been tossed except for two sets of system disks. That means that all that great software is now in the local landfill waiting for the computers to join it. It's very unfortunate, but that's how red tape works. They can't so much as give away a floppy disk without it being documented on twelve different sheets of paper.
