I have a LCIII, which I guess is somewhat of a compact computer,

AFAIK, any 50-pin half-height SCSI drive will work. The larger the drive, the faster it will be.

Half height is 1.6 inches high, an LC needs a 1/3 height which is 1".

Could it run something like a 200mb?

You can use a drive of up to 2 Gb without partitioning, and even a larger one if you divide it into partitions. System 7.6 support HFS+, so if you get a *really* large drive, you can cover the entire disk space with the second partition, even if it's more than 2 Gb in size. The bad news is that the 'boot' partition (the one that contains the System folder) is limited to 2 Gb in all classic Macs.

No, 7.6 doesn't support 7.6, that was introduced with OS 8.1.

I have System 7.1 on it, and 12mb of ram, does anyone think that
if I were to upgrade it's hard drive, and install system 7.5, would
perform well on it, or should I just stick with 7.1?

7.6.1 has worked quite well on my LC III
