Excuse me if I wasn't clear enough (English is my third language): Douglas'
solution in the first place was meant to replace the brick-on-velcro style
battery that was used in the Performa 630 and the like. The Plus normally
takes a cylinder-shaped battery not unlike the AA, but three times the
voltage. What I was trying to say is you could install Douglas's battery
inside the Plus case using adhesive velcro, connect it with wires to the
mobo, close the Plus and - just for looks, if somebody should like to peek
into the battery compartment - make a AA-sized dummy battery from wood,
rolled cardboard or whatever comes to hand, paint it like an original Plus
batt and close the lid. That's it!  ;-)
