I'm typing this on a Mac IIci running OS 6.0.8 :-) It has an ethernet card
which hooks into my cable via my home network router. The router has DHCP,
which means that it assigns LAN ip addresses to my families comupters (a
mixture of Macs and PC's). But MacTCP cannot do that, so I just assign a
similar ip address with the manual setting. You need to enter your ISP's DNS
server address and domain manually.

I'm then using a neat program called VersaTerm Link to do email, News, and FTP.

The only thing is that you can only read mail in plain text, so no HTML
emails please!!!!
