IMHO the best option is to use the 'innerds' of an Apple 13" colour
monitor (with VGA input) together with the CRT of the all-in-one 520 or
whatever. This technique has been widely discussed on the CC Forum -
though I've no personal experience of it.

I take it you are referring to a newer 13" monitor and not the old RGB 13" monitor. I
have an RGB. I also refound a Japanese site that offers a compact to G3 or G4 rebuild,
installing a color monitor and the innards from an Imac or Cube (I'm guessing here) in
a Classic or SE30. Very interesting and expensive! I wonder what color monitor they
are using? One more quick question. I have an extra powerbook 1400c display laying
around. Any way to connect it to the Imac mobo? Thanks for all the help Stuart. You've
been very patient with me and my kind of OT questions.
