Thanks, Antonio! After your answers, I'm feeling a bit better about my first interaction with the machine. As you suggested, I picked up a mouse from eBay, so now while I wait for that I can spend some (more) time browsing the web for info on this little beast. From what I've read so far, I think creating new system disks may be my biggest challenge right now, without another Mac to write them.
