How come I did use those 400k disks (remember the "animated icons"?) with OS 5 and 6 without a glitch when they presumably used a different file system? 400k and MFS go together well, but can, say, an SE with 6.0.3 read a 400k MFS floppy? If so, would it (by some software trick) see it as a single-side-written 800k HFS floppy?
