Would it be possible to use serial cables and appletalk to allow two
compacts to share a lan connection using an Asante EN/SC scsi to ethernet
adapter?
I would also like to have both have access to a scsi cdrw external drive.
Check out IPNetRouter. I'm not sure whether your situation fits its requirements, but it does what you want as far as sharing a LAN connection.
I'm not sure on the SCSI CDRW bit.
