Actually, I have connected computers (but not 2 compact macs) via a SCSI cable! Only works if the SCSI ID of the host adapter of one of the computers can be changed from the default of 7, and if the SCSI IDs of all the other devices are different. Used it twice for a quick backup: Mac Plus to a PowerMac, and Mac IIci to a Pentium PC. Edwin >EVER connect two computers together via a SCSI chain.
