I find a Mac LC is a good companion for setting up old compact macs, they
can write 800k disk images, you can use an ordinary VGA monitor with a
special cable.  Also the floppy drive, hard drive and simms can be used as
donor parts for Classic and Classic II machines and best of all they go for
peanuts on eBay.
