The bandwidth seems not a problem but how about the latency or 
delay?  Your packet-size is pretty larger than mine and a network 
interface (assuming one for a node comupter) sends packets in 
seccession with TCP.  UDP reduces maximum delay time to 1/(number of 
nodes to send).

because HPC clusters' standard is 10 Giga bit or more.
