Brian, I run all the ,V (capitalized) versions (lite and hevy) on a single Windows8-i7-860 machine in parallel. Pretty much out of the box, I have not tinkered with the configuration files (as they ought to be 'standard'). I agree that if they are not hardware independent, that should be fixed.
