Well I'm not sure about as many as 500k nodes. I have code that prunes
the outputted tree. I limit it to the x-most explored children nodes
(and their sub-tree) of each node. This way I still have what I
consider to be relevant in the SGF. You could also limit the outputted
nodes in other ways, such as depth or winrate.

I use Gogui, but I don't think I've ever tried loading a tree with 500k nodes.
