I have good luck finding hot spots... Not secure, but I just do my
work stuff on my laptop in the field anyway. If I'm in a hurry I have
a cell phone with Windows mobile on it, and a data plan, 98.00 bucks a
month for two phones, a bunch of minutes, unlimited data... And since
the phone has Windows on it, you get Email and you can download Google
maps, and Google search, what more else do you need to go mobile?

I don't really know good plans for laptop connect cards though, I'd
say surf around the web...
