Aircards vs. DSL or Cable is like comparing apples to oranges.

You only should get an aircard if you need to be connected anywhere
and everywhere you go.  The speed difference is why it's an apples to
oranges comparison.  Sure the price is the same or roughly the same,
but what are you actually paying for?
