The volume has always been set to the highest level. I checked this by looking at the 'Volume Mixer' (Little speaker symbol in bottom right corner). It is set to the highest level for every device/application (Speaker/Headphones, Windows Sounds, iTunes). There still is background noise (especially during the lull between songs). Is there any other volume setting to try other than the Volume Mixer?
