Try different alternatives, If IE 7 is giving you problems, and you are not sure if Firefox is for you (Make sure to use Vers. 3), there's also Opera, Google's Chrome, Safari (for Windows of course), Avant as well as several others.
Always use the latest versions if possible, and install all updates (unless you specifically know you will not need them.) An added bonus of not using IE at all, is that you largely have less security exploits that are indeed discovered and exploited because hackers and malicious internet users logically aim for the MOST used browsers first.
