thanks for your help, but after a week of frustration with a new PC
that should not have a myriad of issues, I returned it.
i've since purchased another HP with 8 GB memory, 750 GB HD, and so
far no issues at all except that Mozilla Firefox crashes all the time.
after tinkering around with Moz. FF to no avail, no worries, i'll just
use IE.
