Does your desktop tower have two video outs on it? The BIOS screen and Windows XP boot screen use a generic display that any monitor / tv would work with, but once it boots into windows it assumes your settings from your previous monitor.
If you only have one setting then try to hook your normal monitor up to your PC. Change the resolution in your video settings to 800x600 for now. Change the color quality to 16 bit or less. Hopefully once you do this and reboot with your TV hooked up it will work, then you will be able to fiddle with your resolution settings to see where your TV will max out at and not go blank. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Computer Tech Support" group.
