Did some homework (got the manual and everything I could find) and some hands-on tests. Got the 530 MT up and running with XP last night from an old spare hard drive I had sitting around. Did the Dacris Benchmarks 5 tests on it and then did the same test on my P4 2.4GHz system and my old P4 system was about 20% FASTER then the Xeon 1.5GHz system even though the Xeon is dual processors!!!
Dell tech support stated the fastest processor the 530 can support is 2.0GHz so I guess my question is if it's even worth it trying to make this into a decent workstation? The processors are Xeon 1.5GHz 80528 and the highest it will support is dual Xeon 2.0GHz 80528 CPU's. For under $500 I can get an E7400 complete Dell system with 20" display, not sure if I want to sink hundreds into new processors that will barely get it faster then my P4 2.4GHz....
