So you went into device manager and uninstalled the driver? Then immediately rebooted your computer? Have you checked device manager since then? Has the driver been recognized or is there now a yellow question mark?
Sometimes uininstalling the driver in device manager and then clicking on the icon that says scan for hardware changes (near the top bar) will reinstall from drivers that have been left behind since they were first loaded. However like a few people have said, track down a driver from the original manufacturer.
