try to check the processes in the task manager (ctrl+alt+del then open processes tab) try to find a name that might be weird, if you have vista that would help you becuase it gives a small discribtion about what the process is. other than that, you didn't really give us any useful info to help you, if you can please give more info. for now you might try installing a firewall like zone alarm, that will help to prevent any connection without you knowing.
