I will write my steps down but I think I am making a mistake
somewhere.

  Here is where i get a "Partition: Read Error"
  I then hit enter to do a quick search and it ask me if the partition
was created with Vista.
  From here, i cannot do anything, I cannot type y or n it just seems
unresponsive.  I am missing something?
